We believe God wants us to care for others in our community, and we seek to involve ourselves as much as possible in our local community.
- We have a team of home visitors, who visit the house-bound, and those friends in hospital.
- We make monthly visits to the elderly in our community, and make monthly visits to two residential homes in our community.
- We support ‘Fairtrade’ within the Neath Fairtrade group.
- We support the ‘Angel Tree’ project, which, in association with the Prison Fellowship, provides Christmas gifts to children of those in prison at Christmas time.
- We provide a summer tea at the Church for elderly residents of the local care homes, with entertainment during the afternoon being provided by children from local primary schools.
- Orchard Place has become, for many years, the ‘home’ of Foodbank in the town of Neath, and it is operated by members of the church in conjunction with representatives of other churches in the local area. At present, Foodbank operates from 2pm to 4pm every Tuesday and Friday.
